The Jewish Telegraphic Agency utilized
cable, telegraph, long distance telephone
and radio systems to dispatch one hun-
dred thousand words from Prague,
Czechoslovakia, on the proceedings of
the Eighteenth World Zionist Congress
which recently concluded there. This
coverage to all parts of the world was
supplemented by mail artcles and a
spplementary mail service to newspapers
in smaller cities throughout Europe.
Functioning from a special office set up
in the congress building, the Jewish
Telegraphic Agency Prague bureau,
aided by other JTA staff men, all under
the direction of Boris Smolar, chief of
