\\Then Pisgah Lodge of the Order of
B'nai B'rith celebrates its seventy-fifth
anniversary on November 20, there will be
reflected in this observance an element of
historic importance for Detroit Jewry.
A review of the history of Detroit's B'nai
B'rith lodge must in itself be read as a his-
tory of the Jewish community at large.
For close to half a century, all Jewish ac-
tivities in Detroit were in some form or
another closely intertwined with the efforts
of the B'nai B'rith, and in the past twenty
years Pisgah Lodge also took an active part
in all important Detroit Jewish efforts.
We can not refrain from expressing the
wish that it were possible for Pisgah Lodge,
on the occasion of its diamond jubilee, to
publish a complete history of its activities.
We feel certain that if that were done it
would give us a picture not only of the
B'nai B'rith work, but also 'of the efforts
of the entire Jewish community.
Pisgah Lodge has earned the good wishes
of all Detroit Jews, and The Detroit Jewish
Chronicle is pleased to join with those who
will be showering greetings upon the of-
ficers and members of B'nai B'rith on No-
vember 20. For 15 years, The Chronicle
virtually served as the organ of the B'nai
B'rith in this community, and therefore
feels that it has a rightful share in the
present celebration.

officers, are the following: Henry
M. Abramowitz, Milton Alexander,
Aaron Droock, Dr. Victor Droock,
Benjamin F. Goldman, Dr. Otto
Hirsch, Samuel B. Keene, Dr. Har-
ry Metzger, Jacob Miller and Mor-
ris Shatzen.
