Attempt Attack on Home of C. V.
Leader Monday.

Nazis Monday attempted to at-
tack the home of Kurt Sabatsky,
representative of the Central
Union of German Citizens of the
Jewish Faith in Koenigsberg.
Dr. Sabatsky incurred the ire
of the Nazis when he made repre-
sentations to the East Prussian
government concerning the anti-
Jewish attacks in Sensburg last
week
The timely arrival of the police
prevented the Nazis from invading
the house.
The Central Union of German
Citizens of the Jewish Faith de-
clares that its investigation has
produced evidence that the at-
tempted attack on the home of its
representative was of a political
nature.
Bloodshed was avoided due to
the fact that Sabatsky was not at
home.
On the eve of the German elec-
tions on Sunday, Adolf Ilintler
addressed a throng of one hun-
dred thousand in Frankfort-Am-
Main.
The Angriff, Nazi organ, com-
menting on Hitler's campaign
speech, declares: "Although the
Jews have converted our famous
city of Frankfort into a new Jeru-
salem, and crowded it with their
brethren and with speculators,
nevertheless the Hitler meeting
was a tremendous success."

fort is more than 800 years old.

Two Jews Hanged As Communist

Agitators.
BUDAPEST. - J. T. A.

Within six hours of their appear-
ance in court, two Jews, declared
atheists, were convicted, July 29,
as Communist leaders seeking the
downfall of the Hungarian gov-
ernment and hanged.
They are Americh Szaly and
Alexander Fuerst. A semi-official
tion was hurried for the reason
communique states that the execu-
that the Constitution provides that
no Jew may be executed on the
Sabbath.
An appeal for the postpone.
ment of the execution arrived too
late.
The accused admitted that they
attempted the reorganizaion of
the Hungarian Communist Party.
They claimed that their work was
of an unimportant technical char-
acter and planned the utilization
of peaceful means only.

The Nazi chieftain expressed the
certainty that the Nazis would be
supreme in any coalition of the
Right.
"I ant deeply gratified," he said,
"because the Communists and the
Sociaalists together have fewer
Reichstag mandates than the Nezis
alone. That clearly establishes
our party's hegemony in any coali-
tion of the Right."

NOTICE SECTION

Dr. Brodetsky emphasized that
his election as political leader of
the Zionist Executive in London
as well as the election of two
Laborite members of the Execu-
tive, was made "in the face of the
clear declaration of adherence to
Weizman policy."
Dr, Brodetsky warned against
the fallacy of believing that Brit-
ain will consent to be pushed for-
ward by violent methods, warning
also against the Revisionists and
the neperatists in their political
activity, which, he stated, cannot
be tolerated.
Dr. Brodetsky referred to the
report of Lewis French, Palestine
Land Commissioner, and asserted
he cannot understand how de-
mands can yet be made for its
rejection. The government's re-
quest for observations regarding
the report was submitted to the
Political Committee of the Actions
Committee with the recommenda-
tion that it carefully study the
matter.
"Although there is no ground
for excessive optimism, at the
same time there is no ground for
pessimism. The counsel of despair
must be rejected. We must con-
centrate on the constructive," Dr.
Brodetsky concluded.

Says Issuance of French Report
Could Have Been Prevented.

The Actions Committee concluded
its debate on the political reports
delivered by members of the World
Zionist Executive at two o'clock
Monday morning after hearing the
rebuttals of Nahum Sokolow, Dr.
Brodetsky and Dr. Arlosoroff.
The latter speakers dealth chiefly
with the attitude to be adopted to-
ward the report of Lewish French,
Palestine land commissioner, rela-
tions with the High Commissioner
and the lease by the Jewish Nation-
al Fund of part of the land in Wadi
Mawareth.
The Jewish National Fund was
attacked throughout the day for
yielding to government influence
, and leasing of this land to Arab
I squatters.
A sensation was caused by Dr.
Leo Motzkin, chairman of the Ac-
tions Committee, who departed
from the rule he has followed in
all the years he has held the chair-
manship, of not participating in
the debate, deeming his office pre-
eluded him from doing so.
Dr. Malkin, in the midst of the
debate with members of the Zionist
executive, took the floor and de-
dared that the issuing of the
French report might have been
prevented had the Actions Com-
mittee been convened earlier.
The Actions Committee is sched-
uled to meet twice a year accord.
ing to the constitution. The pres-
ent meeting is the first, however,
since the World Zionist Congress
in Basle last year and takes place
one year after the election o fits
62 members at the Zionist Con-
gresa.
