UNUSUAL BANQUET

CINCINNATI, Ohio.—Alfred
Ai. Cohen, president of B'nai
B'rith, has received an invita-
tion to attend a banquet given
by a man who died a year ago.
When the will of the late
Ferdinand I3orenstein of New-
ark, N. J., was made public, it
was found to contain the fol-
lowing clause:
"I also direct, my executors
that on the first anniversary of
my death, they shall arrange a
banquet to which banquet all
of my friends and associates, in
private or public life, in the
city of Newark shall be invited.
The said banquet shall have the
character of a mirthful festival
participated in by all my
friends."
Aaron Lewinstone, one of the
executors of the estate, was
named in the will as toastmas-
ter for the affair, and it was he
who sent President Cohen the
unique invitation.
The first anniversary ban-
quet was held May 8,
