Ide's "Gray Magic" at Play-
house April 13.
How a retired hardware mer-
chant takes a proposal to invest
his life's savings in a cabaret is
shown in the new comedy, "Gray
Magic," by Leonard Ide, to be
given its premiere in the Institute
of Arts in a Detroit Playhouse
production on April 13. With 40
characters, some of whom exist
only in Jim Richards' head, and
17 scenes, considerable ingenuity
in stagecraft and management will
be necessary. Wagon stages will
be used for the seta designed by
Herbert Dies and executed by
Adams T. Rice to make change-
quickly.
