TOURNAMENT FORMED

For the first time in the history
of athletics in Detroit, • city-wide
basketball tournament to decide
the best senior Jewish basketball
team in this city is now being
planned by the athletic department
of the Jewish Center. The follow-
ing clubs representing the differ-
ent leagues which have partici-
pated in basketball during the past
at the Jewish Center: Camarad•
erie, representing the Jewish In-
dependent League; Ben Bey, rep-
resenting Y. W. H. A. League;
Alpha Tan, representing the Jew-
ish Inter-Fraternal League; Stran-
gers A. C., representing Jewish I
Centers Association.
These teams are the probable
winners of their respective leagues,
and it was unanimously decided;
that a tournament at the end of
the regular season of each leagued

ple Beth El, the first on Thurs-
day, March 31, at 8 p. m. A two-
game knockout will be the pro-
