The Washington Bi-Centennial
celebration of Purity Chapter of
the Order of Eastern Star will take
the form of a bridge-tea on Wed-
nesday, March 16, at the Statler
Hotel.
, The patrons of Purity Chapter,
Leo Gottfurcht and Dr. Harry
Metzger, are the chairmen in charge I
of the Purim cabaret dance which'
wil be held Sunday evening, March
20, at the Detroit-Leland Hotel.
This will be a novel affair, with a
real cabaret of professional enter-
tainers, splendid music and refresh-
ments. Miss Theresa Rosenman is
chairman of the program for the
evening.
On Sunday evening, April 3, Pur-
ity Chapter will sponsor a card
party for the benefit of the build-
Mg fund of the Jewish Home for
Children at the new home, 11ur-
lingame and Petosky. The chair-
men for this affair are Mesdame
Ann Paul, Rose Ruben and Agnes
Yarrows, assisted by captains from
the various Jewish charitable or-
ganizations, including Mrs. Rose
Greenwald of, the Zedakah Society,
Irs. Sylvia Stone representing Ila-
assah and Mrs. Dorothy Light-
tone of the Eva Prenzlauer Serv-
ice Group.
