Hershel Leib Guest Conductor at
Last Recital.
The Chord of Judea Smyphony
Orchestra has not only established
a name for itself, with the last
successful annual concert held re-
cently at the :Masonic Temple, but
has also drawn the attention of
prominent Jewish music artists to
the fact that such an organization
should be supported.
Last Sunday, the Chord of .ludea
had Hershel Leib, musical director
of the Fox Theater, as its guest
conductor at its usual rehearsal.
Mr. Leib conducted the first and
fourth movements of The Caucas-
ian Sketches. Much encourage-
ment and enthusaism has
•
been cre-
ated among members, by the won-
derful technique and constructive
criticism of Mrs. Leib.
Dr. Mark Guszburg, noted piano
teacher, is to he the guest conduc-
tor at the coming rehearsal.
The Chord of Judea is to hold
a hanguet and dance at the Chil-
dren's Theater of the Sholem Ale -
hem Folk Shute, 539 KKenilworth
on Thursday evening, Jan. 28, 8:30
p. m., for members, patrons and
distinguished guests. William Klein,
president, believes that this cele-
braton of the success of last an-
nual concert, mil serve as a splen-
did opportunity to create a better
relationship between its members
and stimulate the organization to
further its ambition.
