Temple was the scene of a cere-
mony at which Major Benjamin
Blum, a member of Canton Jeri-
cho No. 60, Patriarchs Militant,
I. 0. 0. F., received the grand
decoration of chivalry, the high-
est award the Independent Order
of Odd Fellows can bestow upon
anyone.
The ceremony was conducted by
Major-General T. Calvert Crowe,
department commander of Michi-
gan, assisted by a staff of officers
and ladies coming from different
parts of the state .
Canton Jericho acted as the
honor canton for the evening, be•
ing assisted by several cantons of
the first regiment .
Major Blum is the son of Mr.

The jewel was pinned on the
breast of Major Blum by his 8-
year-old daughter, Peggy, who
