Polity Assembly, Order of the
Rainbow for Girls, will hold its
second formal meeting and initia-
tion under Miss Mary Silver, wor-
thy advisor, and her officers on
Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 8 p. m., at
the Eastern Star Temple, 80 West
Alexandrine. An experience so-
cial and mixer will take place after
the initiation, and all the girls who
have taken dime cards to be tilled
for the new Jewish Orphan Home
are asked to bring them in and tell
how they were able to get them
tilled. Mrs. Anne Weinbeck,
mother advisor, promises to have
the name of the girl who brings in
the largest number of filled cards
inscribed in the Golden Book at
the Orphanage. To make the eve-
ning still more interesting, a pro-
gram of entertainment is being
planned by Sylvia Jacoby and
Della Cohen, in which various
members will take part.

meet on Monday, Nov. 16, at 9 p.

Students in high schools of De-
troit and suburbs, under the chair-
manship of Mrs. Alexander Free-
man, completed 1,121 hand-em-
broidered dresses, boys blouses
and warm sleeping garments for
the Needle Work Guild this year.
The entire collection of 48,000
new garments were distributed
last week among 46 institutions in
;this city. The Jewish Social Serv-
ice Bureau and Jewish Child Care
• Council received more than 2,500
garments.
