NEW YORK.—Following an ap-
peal for harmony and unity in Zion-
ist ranks in the United States, made
by Emanuel Neumann, in behalf
of the executive of the World Zion-
ist Organization of which he is the
only American member, the nation-
al executive committee of the Zion-
ist Organization of America, which
met Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Jew-
ish Club, 23 West Seventy-third
street, authorized the appointment
of a committee consisting of Robert
Szold, Louis Lipsky, Israel B. Bro-
die, Abraham Tulin and Nelson
Ruttenberg of New York and Judge
William M. Lewis of Philadelphia,
which, subject to the aproval of the
forthcoming national convention of
the Organization "shall have full
power to make recommendations,
for the selection of a national ad-
ministration that shall disregard
partisan differences and aim at
securing co-operation of all Zionist
forces without regard to majorities'
or factions." In addition, this spe-
cial committee was authorized to
prepare, in conjunction with the ad-
ministrative comittee, an agenda
for the convention which will be
held in Atlantic City, Nov. 8, 9
and 10.
