attended the banquet held Thurs-
day night at the Fort Wayne
Hotel for the opening of the De-
troit drive for the Palestine labor,

David Ben-Gurion, secretary of
the Histadruth, the Palestine labor
federation, was the principal
speaker. In an inspiring address
he outlined the achievements by
Jewish workers in Palestine and
called on American Jews to go on
with their efforts for Palestine.
Another speaker was II. Ehren-
reich of New York, Peale Zion
leader, who made the appeal for
funds, in response to which about
$1,500 was realized Thursday
night. The list of contributor's

ovation by the audience. The Ila-
levy-Ilazomir Society gave a 20-
minute concert, directed by Dim-'
iel Frohman. Miss Rebekah Katz-
man was at the piano.
