Braille Work:
The class in Braille work for the
blind is to start about the middle
of October. However, unless mon-
ey is contributed there will be no
machines for new Braille workers.
Those who have finished the course
keep their machines to do further
transcribing, hence, it is earnestly
hoped that all who are interested
in the progress of this activity will
contribute as much as they can.
Braille machines cost $39.50. How-
ever, if you cannot contribute the
cost of a whole machine, give what
you can toward one.

Sewing Committee:
The sewing committer is request-
ing donations of money for layettes.
Last year the ladies furnished a
large number, all of which went to
Herman Kiefer hospital. The
sewing committee is n i t budgeted,
but money sent to the Nettie Simon
Relief Fund is used in making lay-
ettes. This year there has already
been an unusually heavy demand
and money given to this fund will
alleviate a very great need.
All Sisterhood activities will be-
gin in October and it is anticipated
that all members will co-operate in
making the year a happy and a use-
ful one.
