End the Chaos in the City Hall

Stop a Wasteful, Bungling Municipal Administration
front Further Damaging Your Interests

On Tuesday, July 22nd, the citizens
of Detr oit will be afforded an opportun-
ity to r egister their protest against what
is probi- ably the most inefficient municipal
admini itration in the history of this or
any ot her large city of America.

By voting "YES " for the recall of
the Bo wles- Gillespie machine, on that
day, yo u may serve emphatic notice on
those in control of the city government,
that yo u will not stand for a betrayal of
your in terests.

By recalling the mayor, who by his actions
and those of his appointees, has brought discredit to
himself ar id his city, the men and women of Detroit
may likes; wise issue a warning to all future chief ex.
ecutives t lat they are not in favor of the "spoils sys-
tern" in rr tunicipal government.

An affirmative vote next Tuesday
will also serve as a rebuke to those re-
sponsible for the removal of faithful pub-
lic officials for political reasons.

An overwhelming "YES" vote will
prevent the racketeers fram preying upon
the business men of Detroit as they have
in Chicago.

The recall of Mayor Bowles and the election
of some capable man of integrity in his place, will
re-establish Detroit's government on a basis worthy
of the fourth city of the United States.

It is a civic duty to go to the rolls on Tuesday,
July 22nd, and vote "YES" for the ousting of the
Bowles-Gillespie administration in the city hall.
