A.)—The
National Labor Committee for
Palestine announces the contribu-
tion of $15,000 from Justice Louis
D. Brandeis to the Fund which is
being collected in the United
State, for the Ilistadruth, the
General Federation of Jewish La-
bor in Palestine.
Justice Brandeis made his con-
tribution on the condition that the
American Labor committee for the
Jewish workers in Palestine col.
lest the amount of $500,000 and
that his contribution shall be used
in productive work designed to
furnish additional employment to
the Jewish workers in Palestine.
The choice of the specific enter-
prise Was made by consultation be-
tween Mr. E. M. Mall, represent-
ative of the Palestine Economic
Corporation and representatives of
the Ilistadruth, who will together
supervise the expenditure of the
contribution with a view of en-
suring its economical and efficient
use. Up to May 1, 1930, the Na-
tional Labor Committe of the Unit-
ed States has raised $675,000. Af-
ter a careful survey of the field it
was agreed by both Mr. Mohl and
the representatives of the Histad-
ruth that the contribution of Jus-
tice Brandeis should be used for

Histadruth in Palestine .
