The progress of the society since it was organized in Des Moines, Iowa, Feb. 25, 1897, is ob- served by its membership of men and women numbering 100,000. The organization is a co-operative and legal reserve society. A chil- dren's home in Elgin, Ill., known as "Yeomen City of Childhood," in owned and maintained by the ors der for dependent children of its members. The organization in Michigan is under the supervision of S. Harris with offices in the Hammond Bldg., who recently came from Los An- geles and is responsible for the progress being made here.
