APPY, romantic Japan—a rib-
bon of color. Lanterns, fans,
and parasols.... Temples, Duddha,
and Mikado.... Silks, satins and
brocades.
Thousands of interesting sights to
fascinate the visitor. But, not the
least, are the picturesque tea-
houses along lazy river banks.
These little delicate things of
satiny woods and paper windows,
strangely lure the passers-by.
For, within, charming geisha girls
in gaily patterned costumes enter-
tain the hours away.
While they dance, in other corners
of these islands, native mink furs
are being selected for Wellman's.
Upon arrival here, these furs are
made into coats, as rare in beauty
as the country from which they
take their name.
