The Jackson Chamber of Com-
merce was organized in 1909 wit h
100 of Jackson's moat prominent
citizens. It now has a member-
ship of nearly 800. The chamber
has been the leading factor in the

growth of the city. All matters
touching civic and industrial in-
terests have the fostering care of
the chamber. Parties contem-
plating a location in the city are
invited to correspond with the sec-
retary of the chamber.
' The Carnegie Public Library is
on the north side of Michigan ave-
nue (M-17) just east of Black-
stone (M-14) and is open week-
days except Wednesday forenoon,
from 9 a, m. to 9 p. m. and Sun-
days from to 6 p. m. There are
over 50,000 volumes aside from
those in the East Side Branch,
which is located in the East Side
National Union Bank building at
Orange street and East Michigan
avenue. At the main library
there are commodious reading and
reference rooms which you may
feel free to use. There is also a
juvenile department.
