MAKE IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS
IN BROADCASTING JEWISH PROGRAM

Important developments in the
broadcasting of Jewish religious
radio programs are announced by
the United Synagogue of America.
For more than six years this insti-
tution has broadcast the programs
over station WEAF on Wednes-
day evenings at seven o'clock and
Thursday afternoons at four, the
latter program broadcast by the
Women's League of the United
Synagogue.
The growth of radio and its re-
markable possibilities, however,
have convinced the United Syna-
gogue that the time has come for
these programs to be sponsored and
co-ordinated a larger commit-
tee, representing all important
shades of Jewish thought and
spheres of Jewish activity. With
such a committee it was felt that
these programs could be deceloped
so that they may represent the
highest contribution that Jewish
taltnt and learning can make in
: the field of radio.
At the present time the audience
