The Freiheit Incident.
Following the resignation from
the editorial staff of the Freiheit
of Abraham Reisin, A. Leivik,
Menachem Boraska and A. Roby,
in protest against the pro-Arab at-
titude taken by the Communist or-
gan, the J. I. Peretz Writers' Club
held two meetings in New York
last week at which the Jewish
Writers' Club adopted three reso-
lotions condemning the attitude of
the Yiddish Communist daily and
declaring those members of the
club who are still affiliated with
the editorial staff of the Freiheit
as having "placed themselves out-
side of the camp of Jewish public
opinion and having desecrated the
elementary conception of profes-
sional ethics." The resolutions fur-
ther declared that the club consid-
ers "these persons as unworthy of
remaining members of the J. L.
Peretz Writers' Club.
The club also decided to issue a
memorandum expressing a sharp
protest of the Jewish writers
against the attitude of the Frei-
heit. Facts are to be cited in the
memorandum "showing how the
Freiheit misleads and misinforms
its readers concerning the truth of
the great Jewish tragedy in Pales-
tine."
Another resolution expressed
the club's "deep sorrow and grief
over the bloody pogroms on Jews
in Palestine and condemns the

There's new purity in tone, too. It comes
not only from truer Electro-Dynamic repro-
duction, but from new depths and heights of
sound. Do you realize what a vast improve-
ment that is? You need no longer make the
slightest allowance in listening to music. You
hear only what is played or sung—just as it is
played or sung. Between times there is quiet.
