A familiar figure was missed
on Michigan State College campus
with Mitchael Press in Europe for
a summer of rest. Press left in
July and returns to the Michigan
Institute of Music a n d Allied Arts,
in September. this distinguished
' face, topped by little beret, brought
hint at once to the fore among uni-

' fall and his violin ease usually
tucked under his arm identified
him as "the great Russian violin-

to M. S. C. Mr. Press divided
his vacation time tietwetin France,

Erwin Simon of Boy Sr at
Troop II of Lansing has drawn
attention to himself because of an
important mission for which he
attended Indian Tepee Camp in
Sylvania, 0., for two weeks. 'Phis
camp is conducted by the Toledo
Council of Boy Scouts under the
supervision of Indian Chief Little
Bear from New Mexico.
Erwin went to this camp to
learn bow to "play Indians." Liv-
ing under the rules and regula-
tions of the old time Indian camps,
learning to make bows and arrows
years ago, Erwin came hack to
Lansing and imparted the knowl-
edge to 200 Boy Scouts.
Due to his ability to learn rap-
idly, and get across to the other
buys the knowledge he gains, Clar-
ence Neitz chose Erwin to attend
the Indian camp
An Indian village sprang up at
Camp Kiroliex with all the cere-
monials and Italian camp craft
i that goes with it. Lansing Bo.
Scouts will "play Indian," and Er-
win Simon will teach them how.
