LONDON. — (J. T. A.) — The
Communist crusade against re-
ligion, including the Jewish re-
ligion, Was represented as a cam-
paign engineered under Jewish in-
fluence in Russia, in an article pub-
lished in the Catholic Herald.
The newspaper commented on
the appeal issued recently by the
chief rabbi of the British empire,
Dr. J. I,. Hertz, in which the in-
difference of the Jewish world to
the tragedy of Itu.ssian Jewry and
to the persecution of the Jewish
religion in that country were de-
plored. The newspaper took the
occasion to reiterate the charges
current in Europe following the
outbreak of the Bolshevik revolu-
tion, when it wan asserted that the
revolution was inspired and led by
Jews in order to "destroy Chris-
tianity."

IATTACK ON JEWS
BY LONDON PAPER

"The Implacable hate of the
Jew, whether in Russia or outside,
finds an outlet in the wish for the
utter destruction of the Christian
world, which alone would satisfy'
the Jewish hatred of Christianity.

Russia, the Russian horrors would
be repeated," writes the herald.
"The Jews desire vengeance and
retribution through the destruc-
