I see His glory in star-sprinkled skies
And on high mountains' glittering peaks
Bathed by the moon,
Where the silence that the saints call melody
Breathes serene.
his glory IS in the sun
And every spot its rays illuminate,
In the branches of the oak
And in the sappling's budding strength;
I glimpse it flashing in the torrents of the sea
And gleaming in the streams,
In field and wood where children shout,
Playing in freedom with blossoms and with birds;
I see it glowing on the crowded paths of cities,
In mansion and in humble dwelling-place;
In sacrificial mother-love
llis glory moves,
And in the sweet solitude of youth forage;
It sparkles in the tear of penitence
And shines with tenderness on pardoning grace;
It hovers over all created things
And beautifies the very last of theta,
It hovers (aver all created things
And clothes the heart of life with holiness,

1FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY OF DR. EINSTEIN
HONORED BY ENTHUSIASTIC AUDIENCE

(Continued from Page One.)

Medican Society, He pointed to
the spirit that has permeated
Jewry in the past centuries, and
(mid tribute to Einstein as the
greatest genius of the age.

Mr. Hailer reviewed the life of
the scientist, and referred to him
as "not only a citizen of the
fatherland, but a citizen of the
world" and as "an ambassador of
good will."
Professor Rainich briefly and
simply explained some of the prob-
lems in psysics which were ad-
vanced and solved by Einstein. He
described a scientist as a man
who wants to explain nature, and
pointed to the advance of the
science of physics and the manner
in which important questions are
answered as a result of Einstein's
theory.
Rabbi Frani declared that he en-
vied Professor Rainich, who was
perhaps the only nom in the hall
who understood Einstein's theory

Things You Ought to Know.

Why Salt Makes Us Thiesty.
There is a good proportion of
salt in the blood of the human
body. When we take a perceptible
amount of salt with our food we
increase the salt supply of our
blood beyond normal. The system
then requires water to dilute the
surplus salt, and the need for the
dilution manifests itself in a de-
sire to drink. Thirst is a sign that
our system needs more water. Do
you know that there is deep down,
underlying quality in Mond? That
is why Murad is the one cigarette
which goes on from year to year.

PUBLIC
APPROVAL

The officers of the Detroit Life Insurance
Company are highly gratified at the manner
in which the Jewish people of Detroit are co-
operating to make the Detroit Life "Presi-
dent's Month" campaign a success.

The month of June has always been dedi-
cated in honor of the President of the Detroit
Life Insurance Company. When Mr. Irving
Moss was elected to that office it was agreed
that the tradition of "President's Month"
should be carried on and the Jews of Detroit
have responded heartily in honoring the
election of a co-religionist to that high posi-
tion.

W. IRVING MOSS,

The quota for "President's Month" is
$3,500,000 of new insurance. The agency
of Vice-President Morris Fishman has
pledged to produce $1,500,000.

The record for the first thirteen days of
this month is very satisfactory and we of the
Detroit Life feel confident of ultimate suc-
cess in the fulfillment of our pledge.
