Keech in Auto Race
Here on Sunday.

Ray Kin Ii, Indianapolis winner
who will ride in the 100 - mile AAA
championship auto race at the
Michigan State Fair Grounds track
Suday afternoon, June 9, drives the
(sir that was built by the late
Frank Lockhart, who was killed
attempting to break the world's
straightaway record of 207 miles
an hour which Keech had estab-
lished at Daytona Beach.
Keeeh, who is 29, is a phlegmat-
ic, easy going, rely-poly sort of
person of the track. He is shy.
retiring and spends little or no
time around his garage. At the
starting line of a race he is as said
and collrtited as Gene Tunney was
in his corner before his biggest
fights. But once the race is on he
is a driving daredevil, although his
daring is tempered with the judg-
ment in pare that makes victory
possible in big races.
