The Chief Work.
The picture depicting the dedi-
cation of the Hebrew University
can best be described as one of
heroic realism. It is a document
of great moment. interesting not
only by its historic but also for ita
sentimental associations. In this
unique picture vast crowds are
seen eagerly listening to the Earl
of Balfour delivering his speech at
the opening of the first Ile! rew
university in Jerusakm, on A pril

mous and illustrious people of all
nations. the Bishop of Jerusalem,
Sir Herbert Samuel, Lord Allen by,
Lord Ullswater. the Chief Rabbi of
the British empire, and other lead-
ers and delegates. This master-
piece took over two years to c om-
pete and has attracted much atten-
tion and interest in every city in
which it was exhibited.
