A few days ago at a gathering
of several Jewish women remi-

one woman exclaimed: "It certain-

difficult to solve when the maid is
told that I keep a kosher house.

keep a kosher house today as
not to.
With Rokeach Kosher Soap, Ro-

of which abrasives may be pun

no problem at all to keep a kosher

With Rokeach Kosher Nyafat, a
purely vegetable product for fry-

etc., a problem which has troubled
the Jewish housewife for many
years has been solved. You can

it is a strictly kosher product.
With Rokeach Pure Honey as a

MENORAH SOCIETY

Menorah has in store a long list
of activities to more than fill up
the season. First on the list is the
oratorical contest, for which many
contestants are now preparing.
The contest is being run by the
Mid-West Oratorical League, or-
ganized two years ago for the pur-
pose of stimulating citatory among
the societies in mid-western uni-
versities.
Detroit finals are to be held on
April 28, after which its winner
will go to Chicago to try for the
$100 first prize or the $50 second
prize.
Programs for the remainder of
the season are to be a series of lec-
tures on great Jewish personali-
ties, to which Ilerman Cheslook,
latest acquisition to the society's
membership roll, will be intro-
duced by a talk on Rabbi Solom

Closely affiliated with the Inde-
pendent Order of B'nai If'rith, a
new chapter of Aleph Zadik Aleph
has been organized in Windsor.
The Windsor lodge of the B . 11111
ll'rith has appointed an advisory
initird for the new chapter, com-
prising Dr. I. M. eherniak, Jerry
Glanz, Rabbi Israel Lebendinger,
N. eherniak and Dr. M. Levine.
Dr. Levine has been chosen as
the chapter's advisor.
The organization of this chap-
ter was rather unusual. The Herz'
Club, a club of Jewish boys, which
has existed for the past four years,
decided, after due consideration,
that it would be beneficial to them
to join the A. Z. A. with all of
their present members becoming
charter members of the new chap-
ter. They then got in touch with
Harold Horowitz, past Aleph Godol
of Detroit chapter No. 63, and
present advisor to that chapter,
and he took charge of the organi-
zation of the chapter. The char-
ter has been sent for, and the date
of the installation of the first team
of officers has been set as the first
or second week in May.
On the day of installation, the
secret installation will take place
in the afternoon, with a banquet
immediately following, and a dance
or program will be given in the
evening. The installation commit-
tee is comprised of A. Katzman,
S. Bercuson, S. l‘larsh, M. Kovin-
sky, and is headed by A. D. Cher-
, nick. A definite announcement as
to the program will be made by
the committee inside of a week.
The new chapter will be known
as the Ilerzl chapter of Aleph iced-
. ik Aleph.
