BALL APRIL 13 TO
AID WORK OF AMCA

Located at 11740 Dexter Boulevard, corner Tuxedo, the above showroom
is particularly convenient to the residents of the central \Vest side. A satis-
fied customer means more to "Bud" and his boys than the turning of a deal
and this slogan holds equally true of this branch store. Drop in at either store
and view the sensational six-cylinder Chevrolet models.

The Anna Orphan's II•ma. and
Farm school is a successor to the
committee for Settling Jewish Or-
phans as farmers in Canada. A
farmer committee has, with the as-
sditance of some of the Detroit
Jews, brought over to the Farm
School, at Georgetown, Ontario, 43
orphans about two years ago.
The new organization which has
taken over the work is planning to
bring in 50 more orphans. The
Farm School at Georgetown. Ont.,
belongs to the local organization
and to the Canadian society. It is
worth over 1100,006, is equipped
with all modern fixtures, imple-
ments, tools and utensils.
Of the 43 orphans that were
brought Over, three-fourths are
now. earning their dependent liv-
ing in an honest and respectahli
manner. and are also sending
money to their less fortunate ones
on the other side. Three weeks
ago Sunday one of the girls was
married. These orphans, who were
picked from the streets, homeless,
. - helterless, naked and on the verge
of moral. mental and physical ruin,
have contributed the sum of :, 135
its a wedding gift to the bride.
There is a great opportunity to
rescue more of these orphans and
save them from a life of misery.
To accomplish this work funds oil!
be raised and the ball is to he given
at the Masonic Temple, Saturday
evening, April 13. Jules Klein's
"Sea Hawks" will furnish the mu-
sic for the occasion. Novelties and
attractions have been prepared.

during the past few years, the improvem•nt of
the bas•m•nt is notelsorthy. That part of the

of the task that confronts it in
the upbuilding of the Jewish home-
land in Palestine. Jews of every
shade of belief or none have rallied
this year to the cause, but there
still remains much to be done."
The principal obstacle to the
successful conclusion of this year's
campaign, according to Mr. Coop-
er, is the shortage of workers.
Hundreds of Jewish men and wo-
men are ready and willing to give
providing someone will contact
them and receive the contribution.
These people are urged not to wait
for a campaign workers but to
send their pledges in direct to the
United Palestine Appeal fund.
Blanks are not necessary. It will
