"Judaism and the Modern World" will be the theme of
the thirty-first council of the Union of American Hebrew
Congregations, to be held from Saturday, Feb. 10, through
Friday, Feb. 15, in San Francisco. Cal. This is the first
council of the union ever to be held on the Pacific coast.

The annual bazaar of the De-
troit Icor Society, whose aims are
to gather funds for the settlement
of Jews on the soil in Russia, will
