CONVENTION HALL

ANNUAL AUTO SHOW
HERE JAN. 19 TO 26

With the opening. of the twenty-
eighth annual Detroit automobile
show this Saturday evening, in
Convention Hall, the motoring
public, whose interest has been
keyed all to a high pitch by the
scores of new car announcements
and price reductions made during
the past two weeks, will have an op-
portunity to see and examine these
new creations.
The allotment of space to mo-
tor car manufacturers and dis-
tributors has already been made
1111(1 every foot of available space
has been contracted for both in the
passenger and commercial car di-
visions. With the many new
models which are being prepared
and the great variety of body
types which the manufacturers
are offering today, the 1929 show'
undoubtedly have more motor
ntor
cars than have ever been shown
in the past. Due to the vastness
of Convention Hall, it is possible
for exhibitors to present a greater
variety at the Detroit show than
in any other city.
Space reservations in other de-
partments of the show were re.
ceived earlier than usual at the
office of the Detroit Auto Dealers'
Association in the General Motors
Building and many new departures
will be found this year in both
the
accessory and equipment division
as well as the shop equipment de-
partment.
The passenger cars for which
space reservations have been made
are: Buick, Cadillac, Chandler,
Chrysler, Chevrolet, DeSoto,
Dodge Brothers, Durant, Erkint,
Essex, Ford, Franklin, Graham.
Paige, Hudson, Ilupnmbile, Jordan
LaSalle, Lincoln, Marmon, Moon,
Nash. Oakland, Oldsmobile, Pack-
ard, Peerless, Pierce-Arrow, Pon.
tiac, Rem Stearns-Knight, Stude- '
baker, Stutz, Whippet, Willys-
Knight.
The following commercial cars
have reserved space: Autocar,
Chevrolet , Diamond T,
Fargo,
Federal, Ford, Gotfredson, Gra-
ham, Pierce-Arrow, Reo, Whippet
and White.
