Jewish population of Tel Aviv
and Jaffa numbers 43,581, accord-
ing to a census taken during the
month of September. The popu-
lation of Tel AVIV proper is 36,-
574, The number of Jewish men
in the two towns is 21,603.• There
are two centenarians.
According to countries of origin
the Jewish population is divid-
ed as follows: 33,920 Ashkenazim,
6,256 Sephardim and 3,131 Yem-
enites.

tors, farming implements and road
building machines have arrived at
Vladivostock from America, ac-
cording to word received by the
Out, soviety which is sponsoring
the Jewish colonization in Bureya.

Miss Talmadge's vehicle has its
locale on the Austrian-Russian
border, before and during the
World War. The earlier scenes

Gather for Annual Harvest
Festival.

ELLENVILLE, N. Y. - The
seventh annual harvest festival
of the Jewish farmer a of New
York Stale was held here at
the Fair Grounds. As in Biblical
days in ancient Palestine, so in
Lister, Sullivan and adjoining
countries, Jewish farmers came to
celebrate the ingathering of the
harvest and to listen to the inspir-
