"Lingerie," carrying a star east
headed by the petite Alice White.
Malcolm McGregor, Mildred Ilarris.
Kit Guard, Armand Ralitz and
Victor Poti.l. The fun begins at
the very outset of "Lingerie" and
snaps along without a halt until
the fadeout. In between are SIMIe
of the most unusual French fares-
touches ever filmed. The story
tells of a young American who en-
lists in the American army as a
private on discovering that his
bride of an hour married hint for
his money. Later he meets the girl
on a furlough and she convinces
him he has something to live for
after all. Paralysis from wounds
sends him home a helpless cripple,
1100Med ti suffer his wife's flirta-
tions and neglect in silence—but a
sudden and unusual turn to the
plot steers matters in the right
direction.
An excellent bill of vatieville
has been provided, all acts tieing
selected through their records and
values as names. Radio fans will
have an opportunity to see their
favorite "Al and Pete" this week.
The two boys have agreed to ap-
pear at each performance during
the week at the Oriental offering
a repertoire of their songs, done in
that inimitable manner of theirs.
(Buie Thomas heads a big rural
eomidy skit called "Saxymphony."
in which five performers, fresh
from the Roxy theater, New York,
furnish the big moments.
