NEW YORK.—(J. T. A.)—The
largest of the $1,305,000 public be-
quests made by the late Aaron
Naumburg will go to the Federa-
tion for the support of Jewish phil-
anthropic societies of New York
City and the Catholic Charities of
the Archdiocese of New Turk.
NIr. Naumburg, the president
and treasurer of Jonas Naumburg
Corporation, manufacturers of hat-
ters' furs, died June 29 at Bagni
Monte, atini, Italy, leaving an es-
tate estimated it t more than $5.-
1100000.
Ile started to work 56
years ago, his first week's salary
being $3.
At the death of the widow, $1,-
000,000 reverts to the residue,
which will be divided among rela-
tives and charities.
Institutions to Benefit.
After deducting $750,000 for
various institutions, the remainder
is to be distributed among Mr.
Naumburg'a next-of-kin. The Fed-
eration for the Support of Jewish
Philanthropic Societies which also
receives $250,000 will get one-half
of the residuary interest, and the
Catholic Charities to which an out-
right bequest of $150,000 is made,
receives one-fifth.
Five percent goes to the Young
Women's Hebrew Asociation and
the remainder in equal shares to
the foloolwing: The John B. Stet-
son Hospital at Philadelphia, which
also receives $10,000; the Biome
for the Aged of the Little Sisters
of the Poor which also gets $10,-
000; The Henry Street Settlement,
the Society of Friends, the House
