the Detroit Music Study Club, has
appointed Mrs. Laurence Title-
baum as chairman of the commit-
tee in charge of arrangements for
the club's annual luncheon and
election of officers which will take
place on Friday, May 18, at the
bee Plaza. Mrs. Joseph 'Magid-
sohn and Mrs. A. Max Kohn will
assist Mrs. Titlebaum. All mem-
bers are urged to make reserva-
tions with any member of thi.ssim-
mittee not later than May 14. As-
sociate members, although not
privileged to vote, are invited to
attend the luncheon and remain

ports. The Music Study Club will

Sisterhood of Congregation
Emanuel was held Monday eve-
ning, May 7. More than 300 peo-
ple were present and many reser-
vations could not be filled.
Mrs. Herman Fisher, chairman,
introduced the Zion and Ameri-
can flags which were presented by-
Maxine Karbel and Beatrice Fisher
in appropriate costume. The as-
sembly sang "America" and "Ila-
tikvah." Mrs. A. M. Ashinsky said

Miss Belle Schultz, whose mar-
riage to William Diamond took
place on May 8, was the honored
guest at many pre-nuptial affairs.
Among those who feted her are:
Mrs. John J. Goldberg, with a per-
sonal shower on April 18; Miss
Evelyn Sperling, with a hosiery
shower on April 29; Mrs. Jack
Wachler, with a miscellaneous
