SHARP CLASH OVER
ZIONIST PROBLEMS

(Continued From Page One).
Rosensohn that the president of
the Zionist Organization of Amer-
ica had without the knowledge or
consent of the administrative com-
mittee, signed notes to the extent
of $285,000 with the Central Mer-
cantile Bank in behalf of the Zion
Commonwealth. It was a miscon-
struction of Zionist policy to con-
fuse the Zionist administration's
attitue toward the commonwealth
with the acts of the common-
wealth. The statement declared
that the Zionist administration's
moral responsibility for the Zion
Commonwealth was inaugurated,
not during Mr. Lipsky 's adminis-
tration but as early as 1914 and
was continued until 1921, when
Judge Mack was the president.
Mr. Lipsky also charged that
Mr. Rosensohn, who, it was be-
lieved, acted as a volunteer, re-
ceived from the American Zion
Commonwealth fees amounting to
$6,000 for his services as attorney
in attempting to extricate the com-
monwealth front its difficulties.

of Hadassah, the women's Zionist
organization of America, will ad-
vocate at the forthcoming Zionist
convention in June was made
public.
According to this resolution

Hadassah delegates will demand
that this year's convention does
not elect a president but instead a
board of not more than seven each
of whom should be "responsible
and accountable" for at least one
department of the administration's
work. None of the board mem-
bers should receive a salary from
the Zionist Organization.
Mrs. Irma Lindheim, president
of Hadassah, in making public the
resolution, stated: "Iladassah, the
woman's Zionist organization, has
undertaken a specific tusk in l'al-
estine, that of safeguarding
health. It now maintains and su-
pervises four hospitals, 16 infant
welfare stations and 18 pre-natal
and post-natal clinics. However,
as a constituent of the Zionist Or-
ganization, Hadassah's interests
extend to the larger problems of
building up the Jewish Homeland,
and it is most desirous that to the
solution of the needs of the Land
of Israel, American Zionists be en-
titled to render service that is not
only sincere and well-intentioned,
