casion of tributes from Alfred M.
Cohen, chairman of the board of
governors of the Hebrew Union
College., and Dr. Julian Nlorgen-
stern, president of the faculty, in
which they praised him as an
American citizen and for his ac-
tivities in behalf of American
Judaism. Mr. Ochs is chairman
the $5,000,000 endowment fund of
the college. These tributes were
made public by the Union of Amer-
ican Hebrew Congregations.
