The marriage of MISS Pauline
Nurko, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Israel Nurko, and Louis Bass, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Bass, was
solemnized at the Wilshire Hotel
Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23, Rabbi
A. Si. Hershman officiating.
The bride was radiant in a gown
of old ivory duchesse satin trim-
med with bands of pearls. She
wore a cap veil of duchesse lace
encrusted with orange blossoms
and carried 11 shower bouquet of
bridal roses, lilies-o7-the-valley
and orchids. Ilt•r only attendant,
the matron of honor, was her sis-
ter, Mrs. William II. Kaplan.
The groom was attended by his
brother, Samuel Bass, Little Ruth
Kehler, niece of the groom, was

Mehler, nephew, acted as ring
hearer.
The wedding march was played
by Miss Bernice Edelstein, cousin
of the bride.
After the ceremony a reception
was held for the wedding guests,
followed by a dinner for the im-
mediate family. Later in the eve-
ning a dance and reception took
place for friends of the bride and
groom.
The out-of-town guests were:
Miss Jeanette Marko and Louis
Shillman of Boyne City, Ntich.;
Mrs. Horowitz of Pittsburgh, Iva,
and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Levy of
Chicago.
Ntr. and Sirs. Bass are spending
their honeymoon at the Bermudas.
Upon their return they will reside
at the Wilshire Hotel, where they
will be at home to their friends
after Feb. 1.

EZEKIAL-FINSTERWALD
A wedding which was charming
in its simplicity was that of Miss
1.ucille Finsterwald, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Finster-
wald, and Dr. Mordecai Ezekial,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Ezekial
of Landover, Mid, was solemnised
at the home of the bride's parents
on Chicago boulevard, on Satur-
day, Dee. 24. Dr. Leo M. Frank-
lin performed the ceremony at
5:30 in the presence of co rela-
tives and friends.
Miss Finsterwald was very pret•
ty in her ivory velvet bridal robe
from the shoulders of which fell a
beautiful train, over which fell her
tulle veil in great folds. Iler veil
was held in place by a pearl crown
and orange blossoms. She carried
bride's roses.
Miss Maxine Finsterwald, sister
of the bride, as maid of honor, was
attractive in a velvet gown of pale
orchid. Raphael Ezekial attended
his brother as best man.
A reception for 200 guests fol•
lowed at the Book-Cadillac Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Ezekial left for
Montreal and will then proceed to
Washington, where the; will make

RABINOWITZ-MOSKOVITZ
On Sunday, Dec. 25, Miss Flor-
ence Nloskovitz, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. !tarry Moskovitz, became
the bride of Jack Rabniowitz, son
of Mr. and Mrs. T. Rabinowitz, at
a pretty ceremony performed by
Rabbi A. M. Ashinsky at 6 o'clock
at the Temple Emanuel.
The bride was charming in her
bridal gown of white satin fash-
ioned with a tight bodice. Vene-
tian lace 011 the gown and edging
her tulle veil completed her cos-
tome. Her bouquet was of white
roses and valley lilies.
Slisa Celia Moskowitz, the maid
of honor, chose a bouffant gown
of rose taffeta and tulle. She car-
ried roses to match her gown.
Mrs. Sam Warrick, matron of
honor, was attired in flesh chiffon
and silver made along straight
lines. Her bouquet was of pink
roses.
The four bridesmaids, Miss Gus.
sie Max, Miss Modell Rothenberg,
Miss Selma I'rag and Miss Lillian
Under, wore bouffant models of
peach taffeta, flesh taffeta, ecru
lace and green and coral satin, re-
spectively. Their bouquets of
roses were tied with silver ribbon.
Herman Rabinowitz performed
the duties of best man. The ush-
ers were flurry Wachs, Louis
Wolfgang, Gerald Moss and Julius
Rothenberg.
Rhea, l'rag and Annetta Wex-
ler were the little flower girls and
Sidney Itabitiovitz carried the ring.
Sirs. Nloskovitz wore black lame
over peach satin and Mrs. Rabino-
witz was attired in a La nquin
model of black lace. Each car-
ried a corsage of roses and orchids.
A dinner for 250 followed the
ceremony, after which Mr. and
Mrs. Rabinowitz left fur an ex-
tended wedding trip.

BERGER-GLUECKMAN
A very pretty wedding took
place on Sunday, Dec. 25, when
Miss Meta Diana Glueckman,
daughter of Mrs. S. Glueckman,
became the bride of Jack Ber-
ger, son of Sir. and Mrs. N. Ber-
ger of Toronto. Rabbi A. Si.
Hershman performed the cere-
mony in the presence of the hi-
mediate families.
Miss Glueckman was becomingly
attired in an ensemble of gray and
carried roses. Her sister, Mss
Doris Glueckman, acted as maid
of honor and wore royal blue.
Mr. and Mrs. Berger are spend-
ing their honeymoon in the South.

STALLER•SCHOLOFSKY
The Mishkun Israel Snagyogue
was the scene of a pretty wedding
on Sunday, Dee. 25, when Miss
Esther Scholasky, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Scholofsky, be-
came the bride of William Steller,
son of Mrs. Rose Stadler of Ot-
tawa.
Miss Scholofsky chose for 1141 r
bridal gown a white satin tight
bodice model adorned with Span-
ish lace. Her veil was held in
place by a ribbon crown of rhine-
stones. Iler bouquet was of white
roses.
Miss Ada Hack, the maid of
honor, wore a flesh satin grown
trimmed in rhinestones.
The bridesmaids, Miss Zebrick
and Miss Esther Freedman, were
becomingly gowned in peach and
pink, respectively.
Al Sider was the best man and
the ushers were Harry Schwartz
and Oscar Scholnick.
A reception and dinner fol-
lowed.

With everything in readiness for
the big New Year's party to be
held at the Olympia Hotel, Mount
Clemens, Joe Elkin, manager of
this famous hostelry, announces
that there are still a few reserve-
tinns left and urges those who de-
sire to attend to make them at
once.

provide the guests with a splendid
dinner and elaborate entertain-
ment which includes a peppy re-
view in which a bevy of beautiful

HADASSAH NOTES

A social program has been ar-
ranged for the next meeting of
Junior Hadassah, which will take
place Tuesday evening, Jan. 3, at
the Philadelphia-Byron Talmud
Torah. Our own dramatic group,
under the direction of Miss Helene
Stung°, will present a playlet en-
titled "And So It Started." Mil-
dred Yarrows will present some
dances and Miss Sylvia Krell, also
Miss Frances Adelstein, will ren-
der vocal solos. A piano selection
will be given by Ida Settler and
one of the Junior Hadassah offi-
cers, Rose Sternberg, will present
some humorous recitations. Com-
munity singing, followed by a so-
