POPULAR DETROITERS HEAD INSURANCE FIRM Joseph Zuckerman and Samuel K. Slobin of the firm of Zuckerman and Slobin, insurance agents with offices in the First National Bank building, are among the most wide- ly known men in the business life of Detroit. Multitudes of Detroit- ers have had good reason to know that their policy, "Conscientious service," is more than a mere motto -that it really expresses the spirit and the letter of their practice. Mr. Zuckerman, who has been a resident of this country for 14 years, has spent 12 years in De-, troit. During this time he has done excellent work on the Americaniza- tion committee of the Detroit Board of Commerce, being a lin- guist with a command of 10 lan- guages. His communal activities are too well known to Detroit peo- ple to require enumeration here. His popularity extends to Jews and Gentiles alike, He was for eight years in the steamship business, being one of the first who foresaw the future of the river traffic busi- ness. About six years ago, how- ever, Mr. Zuckerman conceived the idea of going into the general in- surance business. Today he devotes all his time to this important task and has won city-wide recognition for his fairness and devotion to the interests of his clients. Samuel K. Slobin has been a resi- dent of Detroit for 21 years. His wide operations in the field of real estate has made him many friends due to the good investments he has negotiated for them. Ilk many friends, reaching into every class and condition of people whom he has served to their advantage at one time or another in the past,1 have been the chief factor in the success that has attended his ef- forts in the field of general insur- ance. Hundreds of people who for- merly came to him with their real estate problems are now consult- ing him about their insurance prob- lems, to the mutual advantage of themselves and the firm of Zucker- man and Slobin.
