Alpha Tau Fraternity.
The Alpha Tau Fraternity held
its last regular meeting on Sun-
day, Nov. 6, at the Y. W. II. A.
The first event of the season to
be given by the fraternity will be
a "Winter Frolic" to be held at
the Graystone ballroom on Dec.
8, featuring McKinney's Cotton
Pickers, a nationally famed or-
chestra; three vaudeville acts and
moving pictures. Dancing will
start at 8:30 and continue until
2 a. m. The entire Graystone
will be redecorated for this event.
Basketball practice will be held
at the Sherrard School and candi-
dates should get in touch with
the manager.
The next regular meeting will
be held at 89 Rowena street on
Sunday, Nov. 13, at 2:30 p. m.

SEEKS STATISTICS

Research has been engaged by the
committee on national appeals in-
formation service for Jewish fed-
erations to make a complete func-
tional and financial study of all or-
ganizations making appeals nation.
The committee, which was or-
ganized last May through action
taken by 43 federation executives
during the meeting of the National
Conference of Jewish Social Serv-
ice in Des Moines, Iowa, met last
week in Chicago and elected of-
ficers.

charge of arrangements was Lau-
rette Potchinski, chairman; Sophie
Alpiner, Myra Potashnick and
Shirley Kapitz. About 75 people
attended.

was the most important issue of
the meeting. Those elected are
