RIGILNT
"Welcome Stranger," the world-
famous Aaron Hoffman comedy, is
to be the attraction of the Bert
Smith Players at the Orient The-
ater next Sunday.
"Welcome Stranger" is one of
the most human plays that has
ever been written. It tells the
story of a sweet-minded man who
goes to a small New England sit-
lase and is thrown out because of
his faith. At least they try to
throw him out, but an old in.
ventor, who is one of the jokes of
the village, steps in and saves him
from this disgrace. From that mo-
ment on the play is one of excep-
tional drama, remarkable suspense
and • love story that stands as one
of the classics of the American
stage today.
The Bert Smith Players are par-
ticularly well adapted to play the
parts that have been assigned to
them in "Welcome Stranger" by
Director Bert Smith. The public
may rest assured that they will
give their host of friends one of
the most delightful stage treats
that this locality has ever known.
