The Adelaide Girls.

The inaugural dance of the Ade-

at the home of Mrs. Jennie Mitchell,
3250 Gladstone avenue, March 26.
The guests of honor were Miss Ade-
laide E. Cohen and Mrs. Myer Green-

Girls of Toronto. The Detroit Ade-
laide Girls is a branch of an organiz-
ation of the same name which was
formed by a group of girls five years
ago, under the leadership of Miss
Adelaide Cohen, director of activities
of the Jewish Girls' Club of Toronto.

The aims of the club were literary,
athletic, social and philanthropic. So
successfully were these aims carried
out that now there are in the Jewish

Courted Dena Saturday Night

On March 11, prior to the opening of the Ford-Sapiro
trial in the District Court of the United States, The Detroit
Jewish Chronicle commented editorially as follows:

Mr. Ford, or those who write for him, for
we are persuaded that he does not write or
edit anything that appears under his name
and very often does not even read what has
been written. * * * *

Chi Ki Spi.
The Chi Ki Spi, recently organized
to promote friendliness and good-will
among its members, is composed of
all Jewish boys. Plans are being
formulated to rent a cottage at Cass
Lake for the coming summer and
nomy social affairs are being arranged
for next season. Announcements as
to meeting dates, place of meeting,
etc., will be given at a later date.

The Temple Sisterhood will meet
next Tuesday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock at the temple.

Graham Trucks Take Lead.

Graham Brothers trucks have been
given the highest of tributes in the
official commercial vehicle registra-
tion figures of the last year for
Greater New York. These show that
in the combined %, 1, 1 4, and '2-too
gearshift field, capacities which serve
91 per cent of all trucking require-
ments, Graham Brothers lead all oth-
er makes.
Trucks operated in New York City
must survive probably the keenest
merchandising competition of any
population center in the world. The
relative dependability and low oper-
ating cost of delivery equipment used
by merchants is oftentimes a matter
of business life or death.'
This is the basis on which Graham
Brothers are establishing their lead
more and more thoroughly in the met-
ropolitan transportation market. Built
to fit the user's business, these trucks
stand up to the daily grind of work
with capacity loads in heavy traffic at
minimum maintenance cost.
Graham Brothers % -ton commer-
cial car chassis now sells for $670,
the 1-ton IG-Boy) chassis $885, the
l ifs-tun chassis for $1,245 and the
2-ton chassis $1,445, all f. o. b. De-
troit. These prices set a new low
level for the highest quality of com-
mercial transportation units.
