H. Lavick's drama, "Shop," which
has teen playing at Irving's Palace
Art Theater, New York City, will be
presented in Detroit at the Majestic
Theater on Monday night, Feb. 21, and
Tuesday matinee and night, Feb. 22.
Mr. 1.mick was born in Russia in
1888. received his early training
at the cheder end the Yeshivah and his
writing career began at the early age
of 12, when he wrote a book of Hebrew
poems.
In 1913 Mr. lash-k came to the
United States. He has written "The
Golem." "In No One's Land." "Rag,, ,"
"Different," "Itcggars," "Bankrupt"
and "Shop," which dramas were palyed
by Maurice Schwartz in the Yiddish
Art Theater of New York City and in
'Europe.
