HOW I BROKE INTO
THE MOVIES
By Pauline Starke,

A call has been issued by the ath-

Detroit to the young nien of this city
to join the various basket ball teams
that the Y is organizing. At present
the teams practice every Tuesday,
1Vednesday and Thursday evenings at
the school, Wilson and Gladstone ave-
nues. On Wednesday evenings the Y
maintains a coach for the teams and
young men interested in all sports and
athletic activities especially basketball,
indoor baseball, and handball are in-
vited to attend.
The reasons for entering pictures
are many and varied. Sonic people
assail the cinema for fame, others
