Guards was held Thursday, Nov. 11,
at the Philadelphia-Byron Talmud
Torah, The speakers of the evening
were: Meyer Snyder, who spoke on
"Current Events;" Sidney Leach, on
"Prayers and Their Meaning;" Ar-
thur Feldman, whose topic was "Jews
Before 1600," and Mr. Weisswasser
continued his talk on "l'ost Biblical
Literature."
All boys between the ages of 12
and 14 are welcome. The meetings
take place every Thursday at the
Philadelphia Talmud Torah at 7 p.
m., room 8.

Tuesday, Nov. 16. Mr. Jacobs was
born in Russia 39 years ago and had
been a resident of Detroit for the
past 24 years. He is survived by
his widow, Bessie; one daughter,
