PUBLISH REMINISCENCES •

JERUSALEM.—(J. T. A.)—The
death of Israel Zangwill has called
forth a host of reminiscences in the
Hebrew press here. The novelist's fa-
ther, Moses Zangwill, was for a long
time a resident of Jerusalem and was
a patient of the Bikur Cholim Hospi-
tal on several occasions. Ile died there
18 years ago. In recognition for the
services rendered to his father, Israel
Zangwill donated a •bed to the hospi-
tal which is known as the Bed of
Moses. Zangwill always took an in-
terest in the institution and when he
learned that a library was being
founded, he sent a large donation of
books.
