It was also said that he who comes from foreign shores

ROSH HASHONAH GREETINGS

_Peewee'

The Jews of Detroit are to celebrate the Jewish New
Year. or Rosh Hashonah, on Sept. 9, and The Detroit Jew-
ish Chronicle has been generous to me again this year in
giving me an opportunity of saying a few words to them.
Since the last opportunity I had of addressing you.
nothing has occurred which seems of particular interest
to you, unless it is that we are, all of us, getting closer to-
gether and having a better understanding. This is not
always easy of accomplishment among people who are
largely in the minority. It evidences a splendid spirit of
toleration and co-operation among the majority.
I wish for you this New Year continued health and
prosperity. and that pow celebration on Sept, 9 will be all
you desire.
