The records of the sheriff's ', office
show that his men have had charge
of about 40,000 prisoners in the coun-
ty jail without a successful jail-break
since Mr. Walters took office, in spite
of the badly over-crowded conditions.
Henry Wagner is the turnkey in
charge of the jail. Sheriff Walters
alao has many other Jewish deputies
on the payroll.
He was the first sheriff to estab-
lish a Wayne county patrol system
with outlying sub-stations, which has
proved a successful method of crime
prevention.
He says that if elected county clerk
this fall he will continue to work with
the Detroit Automobile Club and oth-

danger of the anti-Semitic movement
in Europe was forwarded by the J•w-

congress to take action by the crea-
tion of a special commission within
the league in order to counteract this
anti-Semitic international movement
and to bring about peace.
"The organization of the anti-
Semitic International," the memor-

the whole work of pr•acts is self-evi-

sion to light against anti-Semitism,"
the memorandum states, "should con-
centrate on fighting the anti-Semitic
propaganda among young people."
The memorandum urges the con-

BER1.IN.-1.1. T. A.1—The mur-
der charge formulated by the anti-
Semitic leaders against Rudolph
Haas, Jewish merchant of Magde-
burg, collapsed when a closer inves•
tigation of the case was made. The
charge was withdrawn and Maas was
set free.
Haas, a well known supporter of
the Republican party in Germany,
was accused of having murdered his
' bookkeeper, Helling. The Demo-
cratic press stated that the accusa-
tion was nothing but a "frame-up"
of the anti-Semitic party, which was
assisted by the Magdeburg police in-
spector, Tanholt, who is known as an
outspoken anti-Semite.

For more than 11 years the patented Super-Six principle
has given outstanding performance and reliability to over
850,000 owners.

This long experience and vast production have brought
about not only a much finer car in every particular, but
also have resulted in economies of manufacture and dis-
tribution that give amazing price and value.

These new Hudsons are commanding a greater attention
than any preceding model because they far excel any pre-
vious achievement of our history.

Ted and Betty Healy at Temple

Ted and Betty Healy, those popular
fun-stars, headline the bill at B. F.
Keith's Temple theater, starting Sun-
day afternoon. As a flapper and ■
philosopher, they combine their tal-
ents in comedy characterization, cre-
ating an abundance of fun in the
Healy manner.
Comedy is also the keynote of the
act of the Anglo-American favorites,
Nat. D. Ayers and Margaret Wilson.
Mr. Ayers is an English comedian of
repute. Miss Wilson was prima don-
