The Shaarey Zesiek Synagogue
was the scene of a very pretty wed-
ding on Tuesday, June 22, when
Miss Ann Dorothy Jacobson, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Jacobson of
182 Philip avenue, became the bride
of Samuel J. Berkovitz, son of Mr.
and Mrs. I. Berkovitz of 2491 Blaine
avenue. The ceremony was per-
formed by Rabbi A. M. Hershman,
assisted by Cantor Samuel Vigoda,

The bride was charming in a gown
of bridal satin and chantilly lace,
beaded in pearls. Her cap-shape veil
was held in place with clusters of
orange blossoms,. She carried a
• shower bouquet of bridal roses and
lilies-of-the-valley. Mrs. D. Hillen-
berg, matron of honor, was lovely in
a gown of peach taffeta and aniline.
She carried a bouquet of butterfly
roses. The bridesmaids, the Misses
Queenly and Dina Berkovitz, Helen
Oppenheim and Bessie Brenner, wore
gowns of taffeta, maline, chiffon and
maline in pastel shades of orchid,
peach, blue and flesh, respectively,
and carried bouquets of roses.
Robert Jacobson attended as best
man and Harry Ilacobson, Daniel
Krause, Jack Sapiro and Meyer Klein
served as ushers.
Beatrice Jacobson, niece of the
bride, acted as flower girl, and little
Sidney Hillenberg was the ring-
bearer.
•The bride's mother was becoming-
ly gowned in blue-beaded georgette:
She carried a bouquet of Columbia
roses. Mrs. Berkovitz, mother of the
groom, was lovely in-a gown of black
chiffon and lace. She also carried 4
bouquet of Columbia roses.
Dinner, which was served to mem-
bers of the immediate families, fol-
lowed the ceremony and a reception
was held.
Mr. and Mrs. Berkovitz left for a
six weeks' motor trip through the
West.
