Homer Guck, assistant to the presi-
' dent of the Detroit Life Insurance
Company, announced that the agents
of that organization had set a goal
of $4,000,000 of new business as the
hope and expectation of achievement
for March.
"For many years the agents of our
Company have celebrated March as
'Fishman Month' and June es
dent's Month'," said Mr. Guck. "These
observations in honor of our worthy
president, M. E. O'Brien, his asso-
ciate, our vice-president, Morris Fish-
man, originated as spontaneous n•-
pressions of kindly. friendly friend-
tj ship for the two officers of our com-
pany.
In Fishman month last year, the
1 Fishman agency set out to establish
a record of new business written to-
tailing $1,000,000. The results were
, better—a total of $1,027,000 being
I written. The record for the company
1
was $2,700,000.
"All Michigan life insurance recorda
were broken in June, 1925, when De-
troit Life agents wrote $3,134,000 of
new business.
"When we started out on the first
, day Of March, this month, we set a
goal for the Fishman agency, of $1,-
250,000, and for the company, of $3,-
750,000. Fishman agents have passed
the million mark already. The com-
total is close to $2,000,000, at
tSr pany's
this writing. Therefore, we have set
a new goal of $2,000,000 for the Fish-
man agency for March, and $4,900,-
0011 for the company.
"I feel that this is a particularly
flattering personal tribute to our vice-
president, Mr. Fishman. It shows
that all of the agents are friendly to
him. It shows that the spirit of co-
i operative helpfulness and personal
self-abnegation, which he always has
1demonstrated, toward them, is, in the
last analysis, good business."

The Human Side
of Our Business---
Thousands of people every year
call upon our various officers
with all sorts of financial ques-
tions.
Some seek a plan which will
help them to save.
Others anticipating the pur-
chase of a home, come to us for
advice. Some ask us to help
them buy safe investments—
others inquire about doubtful
ventures.
It is our duty to help them pro-
tect their savings and solve
their problems.
We welcome you whether you are a depositor or
not. Our Investment Department is entirely at
your service.
