---

In order to met a marked increase
in the number of pupils of kindergar-
ten to high school age who have ex-
pressed a desire to enroll in the Sun-
day School at Shaarey Zedek Syne-
lgogue, registration will continue Sun-
day, Nov. 8, according to an an-
nouncement by A. Louis Gordon, su-
perintendent. The enrollment of new
pupils will begin at 9 o'clock prompt-
ly in order to make possible the
classification of the children in time
for the opening of the school session
at 10 o'clock. Registration of for-
mer as well as new pupils has been
assigned to a corps of persons con -
nected with the Sunday School.
The work of the school has pro-
gressed far enough to make it pos-
sible for individual classes to present
programs every Sunday morning dur- ,
ing the assembly period. The instruc-
tionin music and congregational )
singing at the assembly is being done
by Miss Emma Lazaroff, a Detroit so-
who has appeared in concert

work here and has made a special
study of Jewish religious music and
folk songs.
Preparations for the celebration of
Chanukah have begun and rehearsals
are being planned by the several
groups which will take part in a pro-
