of Dodge Brothers' recently announced $8,000,000 building program. The
floor space of eight large and several smaller buildings now under construc-
tion, compared with the total floor area of the City Hall, makes that well
known building take on the proportions of a doll house.
Tut .new steel aid concrete buildings each 500 feet by 75 feet and
another 500 feet by 115 feet will house the heat treatment department,
heavy forge shop and light forge shop. There the finest alloy steel is ham-
mered into (urgings and scientifically heat treated in the most modern auto-
matically. euntrolled electric furnaces, to secure the strength and endurance
which have characterized Dodge Brothers motor cars for nearly 11 years.
- Among the - target' buildings are a five-story building 100 by 205 and a
five-story building 75 by 475 feet for machining and storage purposes and
a six-start' addition, 100 by 462, to the main assembly building.
